"PrintSpirit" Releases Linux Version Supporting Domestic Operating Systems

"PrintSpirit" has released a Linux version, supporting mainstream Linux systems and domestic operating systems based on Linux such as UOS, Kylin, Deepin. It provides a complete label printing solution for these operating systems.

Main Features

PrintSpirit consists of the Spirit Trio SpiritDesigner, SpiritWeb, and SpiritLabel, forming a unique label printing software. SpiritDesigner is a free online label designer, while SpiritLabel is a free online label printing tool. Both tools are browser-based and support Linux operating systems.

The significant update in this release is the Linux version of SpiritWeb, enabling PrintSpirit to be fully utilized in a Linux environment.

Installation

  1. Environment Requirements

Spririt depends on the NSS (Network Security Services) library.

For Debian-based systems (Ubuntu, Kylin Desktop, etc.):

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libnss3-tools

For RedHat-based systems (Fedora, CentOS, Kylin Server):

sudo yum install nss-tools
# or
sudo dnf install nss-tools

wget https://www.printspirit.cn/download/spirit_2.10_amd64.sh.gz
gzip -d spirit_2.10_amd64.sh.gz
bash ./spirit_2.10_amd64.sh

Please ensure to install as a regular user; otherwise, HTTPS access will not be possible after installation.

Verification

After installation, the usage is the same as the Windows version. Open https://127.0.0.1:9443 in a browser. If the following interface appears, the installation is successful.

Adaptation for Domestic Operating Systems

Domestic operating systems such as UOS, Kylin, Deepin are all based on Linux, so in principle, they can all be used. However, due to the complex hardware environments of domestic operating systems, including both X86 and ARM series, and continuously growing, necessary adaptations might be required.
